Show notes

We all face seasons when our faith is shaken. In this message from Luke 22:31–34, 54–62, Pastor Billy walks through Jesus’ warning to Peter, Satan’s attempt to sift him like wheat, and Peter’s heartbreaking denial of Jesus. But this passage isn’t ultimately about Peter’s failure, it’s about how God can use even our most painful moments to refine our faith, expose our pride, and make us more like Christ. Jesus doesn’t promise that we’ll be spared from trials, but He does intercede for us and remain faithful even when we fail Him. And the good news is that failure doesn’t have to be the end of our story. Jesus restores the repentant and still has a purpose for them. If you’ve ever wondered why God allows difficult seasons or struggled with the realization that your own strength isn’t enough, this message reminds us that we can be shaken without being abandoned, refined without being destroyed, and restored by the grace of Jesus.
