EP: 286 The Invisible College with Dr. Diana Pasulka

Key takeaways

Dr. Diana Pasulka explores the intersection of ancient UFO encounters and contemporary phenomena within the 'Invisible College' framework.
The angelic contact events, like that of St. Francis, challenge modern perceptions and document a long history of human encounters with non-human beings.
Seeking non-human contact without appropriate spiritual guidance can lead to harmful experiences; traditional religious practices can provide protection.
The possibility of future governmental disclosures about non-human intelligences is uncertain, as historical patterns suggest potential obfuscation of the truth.

Summary

The Invisible College and UFO Encounters

Dr. Diana Pasulka discusses her latest book and the concept of the 'Invisible College,' an informal network of scientists studying UFOs and their historical implications. She elaborates on the connection between ancient UFO sightings and modern phenomenons, emphasizing that UFOs have been part of humanity's narrative for centuries. Pasulka presents compelling evidence from her research to illustrate that contemporary views on UFOs often lack understanding of their historical and theological significance.

St. Francis and Angelic Contact Events

The podcast delves into a recounting of St. Francis of Assisi, emphasizing his profound encounter with a seraph and the implications of his experiences. Pasulka connects this incident to the broader context of angelic contact events portrayed in religious texts. This section examines how the perception of angels and celestial beings has evolved over time, often being confined to medieval interpretations that don't align with historical accounts.

The Risks of Seeking Non-Human Contact

As the conversation progresses, the guests discuss the potential risks associated with actively seeking contact with non-human intelligences, including the dangers posed by deceptive entities. Pasulka warns against the lure of spirituality without guidance and reinforces that traditional religious practices act as safeguards against such encounters. She draws attention to personal experiences that highlight the importance of discernment in spiritual matters.

The Future of Disclosure

In the latter part of the episode, the discussion shifts to governmental disclosure regarding UFOs and non-human intelligences. Pasulka expresses skepticism about whether a genuine disclosure will occur, considering the historical tendencies of institutions to mislead or provide partial truths. The conversation also touches on the implications of such disclosures for believers and the general public.
