Just as the early church lived in fellowship and community with one another, we are called to do the same as followers of Christ. Biblical community encompasses all the spiritual practices (prayer, fasting, Sabbath, generosity/sacrifice, reading scripture, and witnessing to the world) explored in this series, “The Way,” and emphasizes doing them in the context of relational discipleship. Living in a spiritual community and serving as a witness to the community are vital spiritual disciplines that require intentional practice.
