It can be difficult to trust God and His word in life's challenging moments. We can demonstrate faith through obedience by standing on God's word and promises. In 1 Kings 18, we see Elijah, after facing many challenges, is now waiting for God's timing and intervention. God told Elijah that the drought would end after 3.5 years. With no signs of rain, Elijah instructed his servant "look again," knowing that God is faithful to fulfill His word. On the seventh time, the servant sees a small cloud that eventually brings the promised rain. Many of us have been disappointed in the past. However, God is calling us to look again at our situations through the lens of faith to recognize and respond to what He is doing with obedience and persistence.
