In this video: why a slowdown in new data center builds could favor companies that already own capacity, how existing data centers can keep growing through compute, power, and cooling upgrades, and what stood out from Arista Networks and Monolithic Power Systems in Q3 2026 earnings.Local opposition to new data center construction is growing in some states. That trend was already underway before the midterms, and this week it moved into focus. A halt on new builds is a very different problem from limits on data centers that are already built or running. Owners of existing capacity, especially the hyperscalers, gain an advantage, and spending can keep flowing into next-gen racks, high-voltage power, liquid cooling, and building expansions. A slowdown could also push the CapEx cycle toward a healthier phase, where cloud and AI revenue grows faster than spending.🎙️ Part of our interview with Jacob Goldstein, referenced in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s52tSnAOSdcThe full interview is available to Semiconductor Insider members at https://chipstockinvestor.com/features-and-pricingChapters0:00 - Data Center Pushback: Why This Isn’t a New Trend2:00 - New Builds vs. Existing Data Centers: Two Different Risks2:55 - Why Hyperscalers With Existing Capacity Could Win3:45 - Upgrading Compute Inside the Same Walls (Vera Rubin)5:00 - High-Voltage Power, Liquid Cooling & Building Upgrades8:10 - Relocation Options and the CapEx-to-Revenue Turn9:30 - Arista Networks Q3: Expanding Beyond Ethernet13:00 - Monolithic Power Q3: Growth Plus Profitability14:15 - Thesis Recap: Why the AI Build-Out Continues— LINKS & RESOURCES —Join Semi Insider — $120/yearSemi Insider is Chip Stock Investor's paid research service: all research as it happens, the CSI 100 + quarterly outlook, dashboard tools (Compare Companies, Reverse DCF, supply-chain mapping), weekly live Q&A, portfolio moves before execution, and the private Discord.Join: https://chipstockinvestor.com/features-and-pricingFree demo: https://demo.chipstockinvestor.com/All our links & socials: https://linktr.ee/chipstockinvestorContent in this video is for general information or entertainment only and is not specific or individual investment advice.
