Sophie Cunningham's Rise in Popularity
The podcast discusses Sophie Cunningham's meteoric rise in popularity within the WNBA since she publicly supported Caitlin Clark. Dan and Monse explore the dynamics of how public backing in sports can elevate a player's profile and pave the way for personal endorsements and opportunities. They note that Cunningham's defense of Clark not only garnered her attention but also highlights a gap in solidarity among other WNBA players, who may be hesitant to support their peers due to jealousy or pride.
